These are great. They work just like they say they will. We even have one door that is less than 3/4″ thick and it still works OK on that one even though it isn’t ideal.
The problem is that they are so expensive. I was hoping that based on the price there would at least be 2 slide-loks in each pack (since most closets with bi-fold doors have 2), but THERE IS ONLY ONE SLIDE LOCK PER PACKAGE. (I looked for this information everywhere, but there was no indication in the ads as to how many were in each pack.) This manufacturer is making a killing on these things!
All-in-all I would still buy more if I needed them. They do give me peace of mind that my little ones can’t get into the closets, which is definitely worth a little expense. They also blend in well and since we have only had them a few days, I keep forgetting they are there until I can’t open a closet, which is a good thing. I’ll definitely be shopping around if/when I decide to buy more, to see if I can get a better price. I’ll also probably sell mine on eBay when I’m done with them to make some of the money back.

When searching for an item to prevent my nearly two year old twins from opening the closet doors, I thought this would be perfect. The product should have specified that it does NOT work with metal bi fold doors. I placed the product on the door as the instructions said and as soon as i tried to open the door with it in place (with and without the extra piece to hold it in place) it popped right off! I am sure if the doors were solid wood, it would have worked, but i would not recomend this product if your bifold doors are the older metal style!

I’ve shopped around in Wal-Mart,Home Depot, ToysRus, BabiesRus and Ace for the bi-fold door lock. All of these stores carry different kinds of locks which will satisfy my requirement but fail miserably on my most important criteria: Once the usage ends don’t mar the door or the wall.
All of the other locks are either screw or glue type which when the need is over leave either ghastly holes or glue stains. I don’t want to caulk or spend time/money fixing the after shock. All I need is a lock that will be useful for maybe 2 to 3 years and when my daughter gets older, I should be able to remove it easily but while being used, it has to be effective. This lock fits the bill precisely (including the price)!! I’ve been using it and am delighted. Thanks Amazon! I couldn’t have found it any other way!

This works pretty well, even with a five year old in the house. It was exactly what I needed. The only reason I gave it only four stars is because, like every other product like it in its class, it is made of plastic. I believe a metal option would work better, however it is made of some pretty durable plastic. My five year old has tried to get in and it has kept him out, however I have to tell other adults visiting that it is there, since it is made of clear plastic and an adult could break it…

I have 5 children and 2 of them are Autistic (10 years and 12 years) and since they are home from school during summer break, I have been having a hard time keeping them all from snacking all day long. This lock may not look like much, but it really has helped. I did have to remove the slider stick on it, becaue the 2 oldest could reach it too – but it works fine sliding it closed by hand as well.
