I love this product. I bought a pink microfleece one before my 4th child was born 6 weeks ago and after getting out of the hospital, sent my mom to the local Babies R Us to pick up several more in different colors for me (I ended up buying 5 total). I bought 5 because I hate doing laundry so I wanted enough to last more than a week, that’s the only reason, not because I had any problems with the product’s performance.
As for the person who called this a cheap knock-off, I think maybe they weren’t using the product correctly. My baby was 7 1/4 lbs, 19 inches and the blankets have worked fine with her, no problems whatsoever even though she is quite a squirmer.
It takes a little bit of practice to swaddle, even with this product, though this product makes it much easier. I think this must have been the other reviewer’s problem. Maybe the Miracle Blanket makes swaddling totally foolproof, I don’t know, I’ve not tried one. If you are willing to put forth a very small amount of effort and practice, the Kiddopotamus blankets will work just fine. My baby loves them and so do I.

We found these when our little guy was about three weeks old and we fell in love with them. For a Florida baby, the cotton knit is absolutely perfect. He prefers to have free hands so the fact that he can get his hands loose if he wants them or can keep them in the wrap when he doesn’t, makes these a perfect way to swaddle him and avoid frustration on his part. Our little guy is a bit long, so we’ve moved him up to the large before he meets it weight wise.
I particularly love the ‘seatbelt’ slot because it lets him keep his legs completely covered and be comfy, while also being safe in his car seat and stroller. I give these as gifts to anyone I know who is having a baby. I wish someone would have given them to us from the start.

When my daughter was born, I didn’t know about swaddling, and it would take me HOURS to get her to sleep! I would feed or rock her in my arms until she falls asleep, then put her in her crib… and she’d flail her arms, wake up and cry, and I had to start all over! What a nightmare!
Then I figured out that since her arms wake her, it would make sense to wrap her in something so she couldn’t move them as much… so I started wrapping her in regular receiving blankets. It worked! It became much easier to get her to sleep. But then she wiggled out of those receiving blankets and wake up again.
When she was a little over a month old, somehow I came across SwaddleMe blankets on the Internet and immediately bought it. It worked like a charm! It was so easy to wrap my daughter in it, and it stayed put. My daughter started sleeping so much better!
I wish I found those blankets sooner – it would’ve saved me from so many sleepless nights!
2 years later, my son was born, and thankfully I already knew about those blankets from the start. He goes to sleep great in the SwaddleMe blanket! Out of curiosity, I tried to put him to sleep without this blanket, and his arms wake him right away – exactly the same as my daughter!
I consider this blanket one of the most important baby items you could buy. It should be a must for a new mother who wants to get some sleep!

I had a avery very fussy baby. I couldn’t make her stop crying no matter what I did or what I tried. Finally, someone suggested swaddling. IT WORKED. But using a regular receiving blanket made a swaddle that only lasted a few minutes. With this item, she stayed swaddled overnight and STARTED SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT AND STOPPED CRYING. I call it a miracle blanket!

The Kiddopotimus Swaddler is a lifesaver! My colicky baby is colicky no more and I am now getting much needed sleep. He loves it and sleeps much better because of it. If your baby is colicky, buy a supply of these and a few Avent binkies (the only brand my little man will take) and enjoy the peace and quiet!
