This mirror is definitely the best out there. It has the biggest mirror available. It is very clear and not warped or foggy. It has multiple attachment options.
However, it is best used with a headrest. It has an optional way of using it in the middle seat. Unfortunately, this method instructs you to use a rolled towel along with some strings and a safety pin provided. I’ve rigged it to work, but it took a lot of work and it still gets bumped or moved fairly often. I just wish they could come up with a better system for the middle seat.
Regardless, I still highly recommend this mirror. It is the best you will find.
UPDATE 2/8/08:
I finally became so sick of it flopping forward and backward with the towel in the middle position that I decided to rig it my own way. I looped the ties through the bear and the strings on the towel. I then tied each end of the ties to the head rest on either side of the middle seat. It works beautifully now! It doesn’t budge at all!

I have the monkey version of this mirror and it is the ONLY one I have found that you can actually see your child in without straining. All of the others at Target, Babies R Us, Walmart… are fuzzy. You spend too much time trying to focus and not enough time with your eyes on the road. With a quick glace, you can see clearly. It sounds stupid to say it’s the only mirror I can see out of… but it is true. All the others are useless. My son now sits facing the front and loves to mac at himself in his monkey mirror.

I’m disappointed with this mirror. I had read the reviews written about the other infant mirrors in this product line (panda, bear, pink puppy, etc) and the reviewers seem to be happy with the product so I had high expectations. Do not expect to see details of your baby’s face. What you see when you look into your rearview mirror is your baby at a distance. It is not a close-up so if you have a baby who spits up like mine and want to see her face to know that she is okay, you won’t get that view with this mirror. I have a Honda minivan and the mirror has been installed on the headrest as suggested by the manufacturer so the distant view is unfortunately just what you get with proper installation.
The only good thing about this mirror is that it’s cute and my baby likes looking into it.
Update: We’ve had this mirror for several months and although I wasn’t crazy about it before, I would rate it 3 stars now. Like I said before, you don’t see details when you look into your rearview mirror but you can see your baby well if you turn around and look directly into the puppy mirror. Of course, you can only do this when you’re at a stop but it’s better than having to jump out of your seat to see how she’s doing.
I had a car mirror long ago for my son but had no idea where I stored it, so I bought this mirror when baby #2 came along. The mirror is larger than my first one was. The image is excellent! I can see my daughter perfectly. The only beef I have is that the monkey head rises above the headrest, creating a blindspot in my rearview mirror. So I have to be extra careful when I want to change lanes to the right. Otherwise, great product!

It’s worth purchasing.
